What to Expect From Your First House Call

If getting to a doctor's office has become difficult for you or a loved one, a house call brings the doctor's office to you. Here's exactly what a first visit with Kings County House Calls looks like.
Before the visit
After you sign up, our intake team calls you to verify your insurance over the phone and schedule a time — usually within 48 hours. Have your insurance card and a list of medications nearby.
Who arrives at your door
A licensed clinician — a nurse practitioner, physician assistant, or physician — arrives with everything needed for a full exam.
What happens during the visit
- A complete review of your health history and medications
- A physical exam in the comfort of your favorite chair
- Any needed tests ordered right at home: blood work, EKGs, X-rays, sonograms
- Time for your questions — visits are not rushed
After the visit
Our team handles the paperwork, sends prescriptions to your pharmacy, and schedules any follow-up care. For chronic conditions, we return on a regular schedule so small changes are caught early.
